6th Day Dance Apprentice Program

The 6th Day Dance Apprentice Program is an opportunity for talented individuals 14 and older to pursue a unique concentration of study in the art of dance.  Apprentices with 6th Day will learn to think of dance as a dynamic form, full of possibilities for growth and innovation. This program is best suited for people who have had at least one full year of dance experience (preferably in ballet) and be at an intermediate level.  The Apprentice Program offers a weekly master class with company dancers providing a solid foundation in ballet and modern.  This program is designed for the dancer who has a faith in God and has a desire to incorporate this faith into their love of dance.
This is an excellent program for a dancer who is pursuing the development of their craft and who may want to pursue either a professional dance career, continue their dance education at a college level, or to use his or her talents to affect a change within their community.  The apprentice must be prepared to be challenged physically, mentally and spiritually and will be provided mentoring, and professional guidance in their progress and development.

Program course runs 1 day a week (Sundays 1:30-3:00) from September 2009 to May 2010 with scheduled breaks for holidays.  Course includes weekly master classes on Sundays with the company, biblestudy, mentoring and 3 performance opportunities.  Program cost for the year is $450 which includes a $25 registration fee.

Dancers interested in applying for the Apprentice Program must:
1) Complete the application for admission, and
2) Write a letter of intent for admission into the apprentice program.
Mail the above with a $25.00 non-refundable application fee by August 28th to 6th Day Dance, 21823 8th Pl W, Bothell WA 98021.  We will then contact you to schedule your interview and audition time for August 30th, 2009.  For more info contact info@sixthdaydance.org or 206-406-5465
