Fusion of Faith and
Dance (14 year old-Adult) This class is an intermediate class focused on
modern and ballet technique (Alternates weekly between ballet and modern).
Class is a unique blend of faith and dance and combines prayer, scripture,
inspiration with dance technique. Drop in class $15. Taught by
6th Day's Apprentice Director Debbie Franz.

6th Day Dance Apprentice Program
The 6th
Day Dance Apprentice Program is an opportunity for talented individuals 14 and
older to pursue a unique concentration of study in the art of dance.
Apprentices with 6th Day will learn to think of dance as a dynamic form, full
of possibilities for growth and innovation. This program is best suited for
people who have had at least one full year of dance experience preferably in
ballet. The Apprentice Program offers a weekly master class providing a solid
foundation in modern dance with variances in ballet, jazz and improvisation.
This course also provides weekly workouts with a Certified Physical
Fitness Trainer with a program specifically designed for the needs of the
apprentice, and offers opportunities to perform and learn behind the scenes
lighting, technical and show production skills. This program is designed for
the dancer who has a faith in God and has a desire to incorporate this faith
into their love of dance.
This is an
excellent program for a dancer who is pursuing the development of their craft
and who may want to pursue either a professional dance career, continue their
dance education at a college level, or to use his or her talents to affect a
change within their community. The apprentice must be prepared to be
challenged physically, mentally and spiritually and will be provided
mentoring, and professional guidance in their progress and development.
This
course runs 2 days per week from August through June of every year with
scheduled breaks for holidays. The cost of the program is $400.00 for August
through December and $400.00 for January through June.
Auditions for this program will occur twice yearly once in August and again in

following are required at the time of application:
1)
Completed application for admission and $25.00 non-refundable application fee.
2)
Student's letter of intent for admission into the apprentice program.
3)
Personal interview and dance audition with the Artistic Director and Executive
Director of 6th Day Dance.
